Rossini Cottage is an apartment of 60 mq which is part of a spacious residence that also includes 3 other villas. The Residence is set among the green hills of the Tuscan countryside, 3 km away from the small medieval town of Montaione. The property is surrounded by a very large, charming garden. The whole structure has been recently restored and carefully and elegantly decorated. The Cottage is equipped with modern amenities including Satellite TV, dishwasher, and Jacuzzi bathtub. Outside guests can relax by the pool. The Residence area is enclosed by an automatic gate for guests’ privacy and security. 
Guests who want to alternate relaxing time with activities won’t be disappointed as the area around Montaione offers many possibilities. Near the Villa guests can experience golfing, horseback riding, mountain biking and wine tasting. In addition here are many interesting towns and villages to explore such as San Gimignano, San Miniato and Volterra. Florence, Siena, Pisa and Lucca are reachable in less than 1 hour. We suggest guests visit the town of Montaione, with its medieval history and the church of San Regolo which houses the “Madonna del Buon Consiglio” – a painting that dates to the 13th Century and was painted by a follower of Cimabue. Also worth mentioning is the monastic complex of San Vivaldo and its Holy Mount, just 5 Km far from Montaione. There, a series of small chapels transforms the monastery into a smaller copy of Jerusalem during the time of the Crusades.

Description

The Cottage is about 60 sq metres. The furnishings are in typical Tuscan country style. There are high, wood-beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and arched windows and doorways. There are a spacious living room with 2 single sofa-beds, fully-equipped kitchen, dining area, large stone fireplace, double bedroom, bathroom with shower.

Linens

How to reach Us by Car

From Florence
Go to the S.G.C. FI-PI-LI (Strada di Grande Comunicazione, fast traffic direct road from Florence to Pisa and Livorno). Exit at Ginestra Fiorentina. Then follow the signs for Montespertoli, Castelfiorentino. From Castelfiorentino follow the signs for Montaione. 

From Rome
Highway A1, exit Valdichiana Sinalunga. Follow the signs for Siena. Once in Siena go onto the Superstrada Siena-Firenze. Exit at Poggibonsi. Follow the signs for Certaldo - Castelfiorentino. From Castelfiorentino follow the signs for Montaione. 

From Genova / Pisa
Highway A12, exit Pisa Centro. Go to the S.G.C. FI-PI-LI (Strada di Grande Comunicazione, fast traffic direct road from Florence to Pisa and Livorno). Exit at Montopoli Valdarno. Initially follow the signs for Marti and then after a few intersections follow the signs for Montaione.

From the Santa Maria Novella train station, take the trainline for Siena. Get off the train at Castelfiorentino and then take the SITA bus to Montaione. 

From Pisa
Train from Pisa to Empoli. In Empoli change trains to Siena. Get off the train at Castelfiorentino and then take the SITA bus to Montaione.
