This elegant villa is in a lovely setting on the tuscan hills, near the historical town of Castelfiorentino. It's situated on the Via Francigena, the ancient road that connected Florence with Rome.
How to reach us by car
From the highway A1 Milano - Rome: exit in Firenze Scandicci and take the toll-free (indications in blue) S.G.C. FI-PI-LI. Exit in Ginestra Fiorentina and follow the instructions for Montespertoli. After about 6 km you will find the village of Baccaiano; continue following the signs for Montespertoli (SP4). Montespertoli is on the top of a hill. DON'T turn left into the town but stay on the new road swinging around to the right of the town past some new apartments. At the roundabout turn right to Castelfiorentino (SP4). After less than 1 km turn left towards Lungagnana (SP125/Via Lungagnana) and Certaldo. After about 5 km turn right towards Renai (Via Pian di Pesciola). You will see a small arrow indicating Cabbiavoli on the left. Turn left in Via del Vallone and follow the dirk track for 2.5 km, on that road you will see the Castle wall in Via del Vallone 51.
From the Pisa airport: leaving the airport, turn right and take the toll-free (indications in blue) S.G.C. FI-PI-LI towards Firenze. From Castelfiorentino: take Via Giordano Bruno uphill towards the Ospedale di Santa Verdiana. Turn right to stay on Via Giordano Bruno. Take the overpass into Castelfiorentino, at the stoplight take a U turn to the right in the direction of Renai (there is a Le Boscarecce sign). Turn right on Via A.Vivaldi, the road to Renai (3 km). A dirt road cross the main road and after few yards turn right at Renai or Le Boscherecce sign under the bridge. It's an old paved road with grapes on the right. Go over a little bridge and to road curved to the left. Stay on the paved road going up on some rather deep switchbacks. Atthe top of the hill at the dumpster DON'T take the gravel road to the right, but turn left with the paved road. There's a sign saying "di Piazzacalda" and a small sign to Renai. When you reach Renai at the T road, turn right, pass the Agriturismo I Cabbiavoli, pass the olive trees and follow the road until you see the entrance of the Castle on the left.
How to reach us by train
From Florence: from Florence Santa Maria Novella train station take the train for Siena and get off in Castelfiorentino. The villa is 3 km awa from the train station.
From Pisa: take the train to Empoli, change trains for Siena and get off in Castelfiorentino. The villa is 3 km awa from the train station.
